Using the WYSIWYG editor

   Overview

The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor is a user interface that allows you to create and edit content visually, similar to how it will appear on the front end of your website, without needing to write any code. It also includes spell-check functionality to help you catch and correct errors as you write.

Editor features
---------------

Here are the common features available in the District WYSIWYG editor:

FeatureDescription**Text formatting**Apply basic formatting options including bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript, subscript, and remove format.

**Text alignment**Change text alignment to left, right, or centre, or justify your text.

**Links**Insert hyperlinks to other pages or external websites by selecting text and adding the link URL. For more detail, see **Link anchors and URL types** ![](/storage/X7n4P3VfkjcNtWND6zD4E3aocTockxeq9Xu1dlaU.png).

**Lists**Create ordered (numbered) and unordered (bulleted) lists.**Block quote**Use this HTML element to indicate quoted content from another source.**Tables**Create tables with options to add rows and columns, merge cells, and adjust table properties.**Horizontal line**Insert a horizontal rule to visually separate sections of content.**Paragraph styles**Apply predefined paragraph styles such as headings (H1, H2, H3, etc.). For more, see **Applying basic and custom styles**.**Source code editing**Switch to source code view to edit the underlying HTML directly — useful if you're comfortable working with markup.> **💡 Note:** Some sites may have additional WYSIWYG features configured. For example, some sites include Insert Callout and Show blocks options. Check your site-specific user guide documentation for any additional styles available to you.
