What is a page meta tag?
------------------------

Page meta tags are snippets of information in a web page's HTML code. They provide details about the page's content for search engines and social media platforms, helping to improve search engine rankings and determine how a page appears in search results and social media previews.

The most commonly used meta tags are:

- **Meta title** — the headline of the page.
- **Meta description** — a brief summary of the page's content.
- **Open graph tags** — used for social media previews.

Configure page meta tags
------------------------

1. In the menu, click the **Content** icon. This opens the content management page where content can be viewed, managed, or created.
2. Find and click on the page you want to configure meta tags for.
3. Click the **Edit** tab.
4. In the **Meta Tags** section in the right-hand sidebar, fill in the following fields:
    - **Page Title** — enter a concise, descriptive meta title that accurately represents the page's content. This text displays in the title bar of a visitor's web browser.
    - **Description** — write a brief, engaging meta description that summarises the page's content and encourages clicks. Search engines may use this as a snippet in search results.
5. Scroll down and click **Save**.
