Overview
--------

To access the administration dashboard and manage your website content, you'll need to log in to District using your email or username and password.

How to log in
-------------

1. Navigate to your site's login page.
2. Enter your **username or email** and **password** in the relevant fields.
3. Click the **Log in** button.
4. Once you're logged in, you'll be redirected to the administration dashboard. From here, you can manage site content, users, and configuration settings, depending on your assigned user role.

Reset your password
-------------------

If you've forgotten your password, you can use the self-service password reset option on the login page:

1. Click the **Reset your password** link on the login page.
2. Enter your **username or email address** and click **Submit**.
3. Check your email inbox (or spam folder) for a password reset link and click the link.
4. Enter a new password and save your changes.

> **ℹ️ Info:** If you don't see a self-service password reset option on your login page, contact your site administrator to have your password reset.

What you'll see after logging in
--------------------------------

After logging in, you'll see a menu bar. The options available to you will depend on your permissions:

Menu ItemDescription**Content**Create, view, and manage your site content.**Structure**Manage menus, webforms, and taxonomy.**Configuration**Adjust site settings, workflows, and search and sitemap settings.**People**Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.> **⚠️ Warning:** Your available options will depend on your assigned user role. Not all menu items may be visible to you.
