Overview
--------

Site components are reusable building blocks you can add to content pages to enrich your layouts. This article walks you through how to add, remove, and permanently delete components. For a full list of available components, see [**Site components overview**](/articles/site-components-overview).

Adding a site component
-----------------------

1. In the administration menu, click the **Content** icon.
2. Locate the content you want to edit and click **Edit**.
3. Click the **Content** tab to access the main content area.
4. Click the dropdown icon and select the type of component you want to add.
5. A new field will appear — fill in the details for your component.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.

Removing a component from public view
-------------------------------------

You can hide individual components, sections, or blocks from your public site without permanently deleting them. They stay in your content and can be re-enabled at any time, keeping your page layout intact.

1. In the administration menu, click the **Content** icon.
2. Locate the content and click **Edit**.
3. Click the **Content** tab to expand the main content area.
4. Click on the component you want to remove from public view.
5. Toggle off the **Published** option.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.

Deleting a component permanently
--------------------------------

Deleting a component removes it from your content entirely. This action cannot be undone.

1. In the administration menu, click the **Content** icon.
2. Locate the content and click **Edit**.
3. Click the **Content** tab to expand the main content area.
4. Select the component you want to delete and click the **Remove** button.
5. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
